Which personal data we collect through this website, why, and what you can ask of us. Last updated: October 2026.
Who we are
Lathuile-Consultancy ("we") is the controller of the personal data described on this page. We are based in Lathuile (Haute-Savoie), France. For any question about your data, write to info@lathuile-consultancy.fr.
What we collect and why
When you contact us. If you use the contact form or the bug report form, or send us an email, we receive what you enter: your name, company, email address, telephone number and message. We use it to answer you and to follow up your request. Legal basis: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in answering enquiries.
When you become a client. To carry out an assignment we process the contact and billing details you give us, including through the onboarding form, and the files you send us. Legal basis: performance of the contract, and our legal obligations such as bookkeeping.
When you visit this website. Our server records the technical data needed to deliver the pages and to keep them secure: IP address, time, the page requested and the type of browser. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a working and secure website.
Statistics. Only if you give your consent do we use Google Analytics to see how the site is used: the pages viewed, approximate location, type of device and the way you arrived. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time through the cookie settings.
We do not sell personal data and we do not take automated decisions about you.
Who receives your data
We share data only with service providers who need it to deliver their service to us, under a contract that obliges them to protect it:
- Google Ireland Limited, for Google Analytics, and only after your consent;
- our email provider, for the messages we exchange with you.
The website and its database run on servers that we manage ourselves, within the European Union.
Google may process data in the United States. Such transfers are covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or by standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries through the forms and by email: up to two years after the last contact.
- Client and billing records: for as long as the law requires for accounting records, which in France is ten years.
- Server logs: up to twelve months.
- Analytics data: fourteen months.
Your rights
You may ask us for access to your data, for correction or deletion, for restriction of its use, and for a copy in a common format. You may object to processing based on our legitimate interest and withdraw consent you have given. Write to info@lathuile-consultancy.fr; we answer within one month. Our GDPR page describes each right.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL, or with the authority in your own country.
Security
We protect personal data with technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk, including encrypted connections, restricted access and regular updates of our systems.
