GEO & LLM visibility

Generative engine optimisation: making sure AI assistants can find, understand and cite your business when people ask them.

When the answer no longer comes with ten blue links

More and more people put their question to an AI assistant instead of typing a search: ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot, Perplexity, or the AI summary above Google's results. They get one answer, with a handful of sources at most. If your business is not among them, you are not on page two — you are not there at all.

Being cited depends partly on the same things as classic search, and partly on others: whether the crawlers behind these assistants can read your site, whether your pages state plainly what you do and for whom, and whether other sites say the same about you.

How we approach it

We start by measuring where you stand, because this cannot be guessed.

  • Baseline. We put the questions your customers would ask to the main assistants, and record whether you are mentioned, what is said, and which sources are cited instead.
  • Access. Can AI crawlers reach your pages at all? We check the robots rules and the way pages are rendered, and add an llms.txt that maps the site for them.
  • Content they can use. Pages that answer one question clearly, with facts, definitions and a direct answer near the top, in every language you work in.
  • Structured data. Organisation, services and questions marked up, so that a machine does not have to infer them.
  • Mentions elsewhere. Assistants lean on what others write. We look at where your business is described, correct what is wrong, and work on being named in the sources they trust.

What you get

  • A baseline report: the questions tested, the answers given and who was cited.
  • The technical fixes carried out, including llms.txt and structured data.
  • Rewritten or new pages for the questions that matter most.
  • A repeat measurement at fixed intervals, so you can see what changed.

Frequently asked questions

Is GEO different from SEO?

It builds on it. Good SEO gets you most of the way; GEO adds what is specific to AI assistants: access for their crawlers, content written to be quoted, and attention to how others describe you.

Can you guarantee that ChatGPT will mention us?

No. Nobody controls what an assistant answers, and the answers vary from one question to the next. What we can do is remove what stands in the way, and measure honestly whether it helps.

How do you measure it?

By asking. We keep a fixed list of questions, put them to the same assistants at set intervals and record the answers and the sources. Where your statistics show visits arriving from an assistant, we report those too.

Tell us where you are and where you want to be. We'll come back within one working day with a first view. A person reads your message and answers it.
