GDPR: your rights and our commitments
What the General Data Protection Regulation gives you, and what it asks of us.
Your rights at a glance
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) you have the right to:
- Access. Ask which personal data we hold about you and receive a copy.
- Rectification. Have incorrect or incomplete data corrected.
- Erasure. Have your data deleted when we no longer have a reason to keep it.
- Restriction. Ask us to pause the use of your data while a question is being settled.
- Objection. Object to processing that we base on our legitimate interest.
- Portability. Receive the data you gave us in a common, machine-readable format.
- Withdrawal of consent. Where we rely on your consent, withdraw it at any time.
How to use them
Write to info@lathuile-consultancy.fr and tell us which right you want to use. We may ask you to confirm your identity, so that data does not reach the wrong person. We answer within one month.
Which data we collect, why, and how long we keep it is described in our privacy policy. The cookies this website uses are listed in our cookie policy.
When we work with data on behalf of clients
In many assignments we come into contact with personal data that belongs to our clients: the users of a network, the customers of a shop, the visitors of a website. In that role we are a processor, and the client remains responsible for the data.
That means we:
- process such data only on the documented instructions of the client;
- keep it confidential and limit access to the people who need it for the assignment;
- protect it with security measures appropriate to the risk;
- engage other processors only with the client's agreement;
- return or delete the data when the assignment ends.
Where the law requires one, a data processing agreement is part of our contract.
If something goes wrong
If we discover a breach involving personal data, we inform the client concerned without undue delay and help with the notification to the supervisory authority and to the people affected.
Complaints
If you believe we handle your data incorrectly, please tell us first so that we can put it right. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL, or with the authority in your own country.
